It is no longer news that some victims of the ill fated Kaduna bound train are still in the hands of their captors two months after.

I want every right thinking Nigerian to empathise and put his or herself in their shoes, imagine being abducted and taken to a thick forest for eight weeks without taking bath, no sufficient food, no communication, sleeping in the rains and under the sun.

These are not the first set of people to be kidnapped and detained in the forest for this long but the scary threat issued by the terror group attached with difficult conditions is what drew my immediate attention.

There are many captives out there crying for help, many have died unnoticed and many more are to come. What a country?

The threat by the terrorist group for the federal government to abandon the Kaduna – Abuja express way and the Abuja – Kaduna rail tract where huge resources have been spent.

This is unacceptable in a country that has a government in place. It is now apparently clear that terrorist have captured the system.

Imagine the agony of the families of the victims who may be slaughtered in few days, Kai, this is the height of irresponsibility on the side of the federal government.

I listened to the governor of Kaduna state Nasir El-Rufai on BBC one day, saying they have identified the hide out of the terrorists and have advised the federal government to bombard the forest but the federal government refused.

President Muhammadu Buhari has failed Nigerians woefully and I make bold to call for his immediate resignation to pave way for a serious leader who truly have the people at heart.

My prayers are with all the victims, God in His mercy will will do for you what He did to Daniel, Meshack and Abednego

May we never experienced this type of leadership in our life time in Jesus name!
