Emmanuel Daniel Jurte whose appointment as substantive Provost of College of Education, Gindini was until his appointment, the Ag Provost of the College.
Born on the 11 January, 1963 to the family of retired Pastor Daniel Jurte of blessed memory at Kwalla in Wokkos District of Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State. He got enrolled into the LGED Primary School, Wokkos in 1971 from where he proceeded to Government Secondary School, Pankshin and completed in the year 1981. He again proceeded to SPS Keffi and thereafter to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and graduated in 1987 with a B.Sc in Sociology. He thereafter went to University of Jos for his M.Sc Political conomy and Development Studies as well as Post Graduate Diploma in Education.
Mr. Emmanuel Daniel Jurte got employed in the College of Education, Gindiri as Assistant Lecturer. Through sheer dint of hard work and with the grace of God, he rose through the ranks and got to the peak of his carrier as a Chief Lecturer.
In the course of progression in his career, he was found worthy to hold the positions of College Public Relations Officer, Head of Department and Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences where he was made the Chairman, Committee of Deans and Directors, a position he held before his appointment as Ag Provost on the 15th December, 2020. His period of leadership as Ag Provost witnessed tremendous achievements which has raised the standard of the College in terms of Academic Programmes, Staff welfare and Infrastructural development.
Many are of the hope that his tenure as substantive Provost will witness much more achievements.
