
In a bid to contribute his quota to the development of his community, Mr. Obed Dihis and his wife donates a three classroom block and an office to Bidol Primary School, Ampang West of Mangu LGA.
Mr. Dihis who is a staff of Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria Honoured his boss, Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum with the commissioning of the project.
Dr. Dakum and his entourage were received by District Head of Ampang West, HRH Pius Mutle who doubles as the Mishkaham Ampang. The Mishkaham pledged his support to the Dr. Dakum’s ambition as according to him, Dr. Dakum is no different from any Ampang son.
Dr. Dakum, while at the Mishkaham’s palace reiterated that his style of politics is not a do or die, saying he’d accept God’s will whatever be the outcome. Dr. Dakum while speaking in Mwaghavul, said, “if God gives me, fine, if God decides to give another person, all Glory be to him”.

Mr. Dihis, in his address at Bidol, said when he conceived the idea, he shared it with his wife who never objected, but instead encouraged it and even advised they put up some family austerity measures in order to achieve the project.
Mr. Dihis explained how he was inspired by his boss, Dr. Dakum to give back to the community in order to better the lot of the kids in the community, saying his principal is passionate about children. Mr. Dihis went further to explain the fatherly role his principal and his wife have been playing in his life and that of his colleagues.
Mr. Dihis explained how his boss has empowered many people in Plateau across the board, engaging about 400 people across the 17 Local government of Plateau state and about a hundred in Mangu alone.
He said he felt the need to undertake the project as a way of giving back to the society and to address the educational structure deficit in Bidol Primary which before now had only one block.
Mr. Dihis also disclosed that he will not stop at that but look at other challenges being faced for possible intervention.
Dr. Dakum, while speaking at the event, encouraged the youngsters and parents to take advantage of the opportunity provided by one of their own, saying the children are better off than he was since they all have shoes on their feet. He was not until he was 9 before he could have one.

While commissioning the project, Dr. Patrick Dakum, who is a frontline Governorship Aspirant flanked by his wife & supporters commended the donor for the laudable project.
He encouraged the pupils to take their studies seriously and develop themselves so they can add value to humanity and the society.
He urged them not to despise the days of their little beginning but remain focused and positive about life.
“Every child should have access to quality and sound education as provided by the Constitution” he said.
He charged parents to support the academic pursuits of their wards.
He also supported the cause with a donation of exercise books to be ahared to the pupils.
He advised the youths not to fight for politicians, “Don’t fight for politicians, instead fight to attract development to your Communities” he said.
Dr. Dakum urged the people to ensure they vote for the right, credible and competent Leaders in 2023 and future elections promising to make security, education, health, the economy of the State, Agriculture and other critical sectors his priorities if elected.
“If there are people better than me, support them” he told the people.
He further stressed that since government cannot provide all needs, it is important for persons with the means to step in, partner with government to provide basic amenities just as Mr. Obed Dihis has done which he said is a step in the right direction.
In their separate remarks, the Miskagham Ampang West, Da Pius Mutla, Hon. Dr. Bala Fwangje, the member representing Mangu South at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Mangs Istifanus Leader Mangu LGC Legislative Arm, Hon. Christopher Wuyep the Education Secretary Mangu Education Authority, Hon. Damurap Pansat the Majority Leader Mangu LGC Legislative Arm and Councillor representing the Area applauded the timely intervention of the donor calling on Government at all levels and other spirited individuals to emulate the kind gesture of Mr. Dihis.

They described the donor as a good Ambassador and God’s sent to the people of Bidol Community on account of his numerous humanitarian interventions, saying even without being elected or occupying any political office, he is adding value to and transforming the society.
They prayed God to open more doors to him so he can make greater impacts to humanity and the society.
