Today, we woke up to the rude shock of the death of the former Deputy Speaker and Senator, Nasiru Mantu. On behalf of myself, family and my political associates, I wish to extend my sincere condolences to the family of DR NASIRU MANTU ,the Pyem chiefdom, Mangu local government, plateau state and the nation at large over the demise of our father, grand father, a seasoned politician, and an icon of community and state development . Late Dr. Nasiru Mantu whom has completed his sojourn on Earth in the early hours of today, had contributed in no small measure to the growth and development of the state as an active politician when he held sway as the Deputy senate president of this country.
I am extremely saddened by the shocking news of your death at the time that Plateau state needs your wise counsel, but we trust that God has a purpose for calling you at this time when your people need you most.
We are consoled by the fact that you lived a worthy life and contributed immensely to nation building. Our prayer is that God reposes your soul and grant you everlasting rest, as we pray that God will grant the family, the people of Mangu Local Government and the entire people of Plateau State the fortitude to bear this irreparable lost.
