Mangu LGC is among the first Local Government Council to accept implementation of the payment of staff promotion salaries.
Council Chairman, Hon. Lawrence Danat who disclosed this during a parley with staffers of the Local Government at the Legislative Council Chambers today assured that workers will experience increase in their salaries beginning from October which will be paid soon.
Danat explained that his administration has been able to block some leakages in revenue generation hence the current lead in the revenue profile among the 17 LGCs in Plateau state.
The Chairman vowed to give priority to staff welfare adding that the outstanding leave grant will be settled soon.
On the unpaid February 2018 salaries of civil servants in Mangu LGA, the chairman stated that his administration is working round clock to resolve the issue adding that workers should be patient and pursue their demands with wisdom.
Mangu LGC NULGE branch chairman, Comr. Ephraim Kwarpo who spoke on behalf of other Union Leaders thanked the Council Chairman for the parley with workers and pleaded for prompt attention to other outstanding demands of workers.
